Heirs "virtuous"…From singing of unity to engaging in programs of fragmentation

The scene where the President of the Parliament affiliated with legitimacy, Sultan Al-Barakani, sitting in Aden under the banner of “secession” and alongside the leaders of the Transitional Council, was not just a simple protocol meeting. Rather, it was an explicit political declaration of the complicity of the UAE wing within the General People’s Congress Party, which has turned the page on “Yemeni unity”, in a radical shift that places the political legacy of the General People’s Congress ahead of the question of how the achievements the party has always touted can become bargaining chips in the market for regional agendas. It also places the children of former President Saleh and prominent leaders of the UAE conference under accusation by the Yemeni people of conspiring against unity and engaging in an agenda to divide and tear the nation apart for the benefit of outside forces.
